The Farm

In 1989, Delle decided that she had put her “toys” away long enough, and now was the time to start getting actively involved in the world of horses again. The first voyage netted the beautiful *Muscat son, DW Maxx; the Muscastar son DW Ramadaa; the Naturel daughter, a weanling at the time, DW Scarlet; and the two mares La Minuete, a *Muscat daughter, and Nassina, a *Nariadni daughter. Maxx, Ramadaa, and Scarlet were shown under saddle in many disciplines, winning championships along the way. In addition, there were two mares at home in Nova Scotia: Wilma a registered QH and her daughter Lucy, a registered half Arabian. These horses were to be the base of the breeding herd. Later, two Morgan mares, Molly and Polly (Jackson Mandate daughters) were to be added. Over the years, new horses were bred and kept or purchased and added to the growing herd. The result? A herd of beautiful, athletic and "typey" arabian horses of diverse pedigreees.

Throughout the years, Delle has visited various studs and ranches in Canada, Australia, the US, Denmark, Belgium, Holland, and England, sometimes bringing horses back with her.

After the first group of horses was imported from Rob Wedel in Taber, Alberta, the Straight Egyptian Stallion IBM Jamaar Bahjat was leased from Oasis Arabians in Arizona, and two more mares were purchased from Rob Wedel. The mare, Promising, a stunning *Salon daughter, whose son by Monogramma was Scottsdale’s Grand Champion Reining Horse Open in 2002.

As this breeding season approaches Ibn Ramadaa - DW Ramadaa's most stunning son - is being booked for stud for next year-2008 at an introductory price of $500 Cdn. See The Stallions for more details.

The reference sire, Ibn Valle, a Spanish Arabian, has a number of very impressive daughters.
