Mandel Arabians is Proud to Announce...

It is with great pleasure to announce that MDA Triumph has been the winner of a contest held by Anne West Paintings.
Christine MacDonald submitted photos of Triumph, one of which was deemed to be the best headshot of her horse – thus winning the contest. There were over 1000 entries submitted by other hopefuls.
Anne West had the following to say about the winning entry:
"Christine worked very hard to get some great shots of MDA Triumph and in the end, it paid off!

The reasons that I chose this photo over many other great photos are:
1. it met the criteria of being a headshot
2. it met the criteria of fitting nicely into a 12 X 24 canvas format
3. the photo was well-lit and nicely in focus
4. there is a lot of visual interest to work with as an artist... color variations, mane, nice blaze, nice mouth and nostril details
5. I even like the background and will probably keep it in
6. the horse has a great eye showing which is what a portrait is all about
7. I can really have some fun with this horse - Oranges, yellows, reds...lots of color!"
